for 1952, 30in. nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD. "SANDHURST" 168. PICCADILLY. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, left-opening toplever, automatic safety, left handed triggers, action and decorative sideplates with bold acanthus scroll engraving, retaining much original colour-hardening and finish, 13 3/4in. full crossover stock (left shoulder, right eye), weight 6lb. 11oz., in its lightweight leather case, together with Cogswell & Harrison certificate of origin

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed on the 4th September 1952, built on a type T 205 12g hammerless boxlock ejector, Southgate ejectors, with the triggers and toplever set for left hand operation. The gun was built for a Mr C.W.W. Howard. The basic cost of the gun was £75. 10s. 0d., the total (including special features and related costs) coming to a round £100. 0s.
