A 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 7926,
circa 1884, serial number on barrel loop only, 30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1977), rib engraved 'W. RICHARDS. 27. OLD HALL ST. LIVERPOOL.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action with carved shell fences, intercepting sears, automatic safety, feathered border and acanthus scroll engraving, 14 3/4in. stock, weight 6lb. 10oz., in its makers brass-cornered leather case

Provenance: This gun is accompanied by a letter from the makers dated 1977, stating that Gun No. 7926 was completed in 1884 as part of a batch of 10 guns made for their own stock
