for 1960, new 30in. nitro chopperlump barrels (London proofed 2002) with matt rib, the tubes engraved 'BLACKER & HIBBERT. FORMERLY OF HOLLAND & HOLLAND', the under rib engraved 'MADE IN ENGLAND' and 'MODELE DE LUXE', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke; original 28in. nitro chopperlump barrels with file cut rib, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET, LONDON.', the under rib engraved 'MADE IN ENGLAND' and 'MODELE DE LUXE', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke; left wall thickness below recommended minimum;

large frame treble-grip action with hidden third bite, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand-detachable lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, double triggers with articulated front trigger and rolled-edge triggerguard, with additional single trigger mechanism and rolled-edge triggerguard and tang supplied with the gun, the action, lockplates and furniture fully engraved with best bold scrolling acanthus designs on a finely matted background, the fences carved in high relief with stylised foliate motifs, the underside with an elaborate cartouche engraved 'MODELE DE LUXE', the crosspin cover with a floral design encircled with 'MADE IN ENGLAND', retaining some original colour-hardening, 14 5/8in. highly-figured stock (cast on for the left shoulder, likely replacement) with Prince of Wales grip, horn pistolgrip-cap and with acanthus scroll engraved steel heel and toe plates, splinter style fore-end inset in gold with a crowned cartouche with central pigeon motif and a scrolled banner engraved 'IMPERIAL EXTRA LUXE', the gun supplied with an interchangeable beavertail fore-end wood with Anson push rod (to fit splinter fore-end iron), similarly inset in gold, weight 7lb. 3oz. (original barrels) and 7lb. 10oz. (new barrels), in a brass-cornered oak and leather case, (provision for one set of barrels) with Holland & Holland gold-tooled label and a canvas and leather outer cover
