A 12-BORE 'IMPERIAL EJECTOR' SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 13016,
circa 1897, 28in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1989), the rib engraved 'LANG & HUSSEY LD. 102, NEW BOND STREET, LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the underside with a cartouche engraved 'IMPERIAL EJECTOR', retaining traces of colour-hardening, 14 3/4in. stock (cast on for the left shoulder) including buttplate, minor damage by triggerguard tang and fore-end with pinned insert repairs towards tip, weight 6lb. 11oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case

Provenance: The gun was rebarrelled under licence from Lang & Hussey by Hellis, Beesley & Watson in 1989 and comes with the original letter granting the licence
