LONDON.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the underside with an elaborate cartouche engraved 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', the triggerplate with an oval engraved 'PATENT SINGLE TRIGGER', bright finish overall, 14 5/8in. well-figured stock with slight monte carlo comb, minor repairs to fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 8oz., in a lightweight leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in August 1905 for a 'Roddam'.
