circa 1920, 23 1/4in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2021) engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND ST. LONDON.' the nocks form with 'HOLLAND'S .240 BORE "APEX" SUPER EXPRESS RIFLE' (rubbed), open sight dovetail mount (sight missing), ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the receiver (with thumb cutout) rail mounted with a Zeiss Diatal-ZA 6x42 T* telescopic sight, serial no. 168827, the sidewall tapped for a side mount with screw plugs, the receiver ring with Mauser serial number 8640, tang side safety, detachable floorplate with military style release, figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels, 14 1/4in. pull including horn buttplate, weight 7lb. 9oz. (unscoped) and 8lb. 8oz.
