for 1915, with blued 5 1/2in. barrel, solid frame with swing-out auto-ejecting fluted cylinder, the right hand side of frame inscribed 'C.B. NEWTON 7TH YORK & LANC. R.', double action mechanism and replacement chequered hard rubber square-based grips, the whole retaining much of an older refinish, 12in. overall, complete with a period full-flap leather holster
