circa 1880, 38 7/8in. nitro reproved fine damascus barrel, short sight flat, the barrel engraved 'R.B. RODDA & CO. GUN MAKERS TO H.E. THE VICEROY & H.R.H. THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH. LONDON & CALCUTTA', Jones patent rotary underlever with scroll engraved knob, carved percussion fence, rebounding back-action lock, beaded border engraving, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 5/8in. semi-pistolgrip stock including 1in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with horn finial and crosspin release catch, weight 14lbs. 8oz.
