A .32 (RIMFIRE) TAKE-DOWN SHORT POCKET-RIFLE, MODEL 'HUNTER'S PET No. 34', serial no. 4523,
circa 1895, with two-stage reblued 18in. barrel, tunnel fore-sight with moulded blade to top, elevating folding aperture sight forward of breech, the left hand side top-flat signed 'J. STEVENS A & T CO.' over 'CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. USA PAT. SEPT 6 1864', push-button barrel release to left side of frame, external hammer with firing pin bushed in frame, moulded and rounded iron receiver with spur trigger, smooth flared walnut grips, the back-strap with threaded aperture and the heel cut with a dove-tail to accept a nickel-plated wire skeleton stock (present, matching number), 32in. overall with stock fitted, weight approximately 4 1/2lbs.
