A GERMAN WORLD WAR TWO INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD
with plain 30 3/4in. narrow slightly curving spear-point blade, broad blind fuller to both sides, cast and carved bronze 'P' shaped hilt with broad langets, one decorated with an eagle and swastika device, the reverse with a vacant panel for engraving, wire bound cellulose-covered grip-piece and carved back-strap with doves-head pommel, complete with its black painted iron scabbard (small losses to finish) and bullion portapee knot, overall length in scabbard 36 3/4in., weight approx. 2 1/4lbs.
