26in. replacement nitro chopperlump barrels (by the makers in 1977), rib engraved '1' and 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE, SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, toplever engraved '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, single trigger by another, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the triggerplate inset with a shield relief engraved CALto. PEÑUE LA', retaining much renewed colour-hardening and finish, 13 5/8in. figured replacement stock including 7/8in. leather covered recoil pad, beavertail fore-end, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a lightweight leather case with canvas and leather outer cover
