A 12-BORE ROUND-BODIED SINGLE-TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 20085,
29in. barrels with 6mm raised matt top-rib, the top tube with flashes of gold-inlaid foliate scroll at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, hold-open toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, rolled-edge triggerguard, profusely engraved with bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving and with gold-inlaid borderwork, the makers name also gold-inlaid, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. figured pistolgrip stock (possible replacement) including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, with engraved pistolgrip cap, in its lightweight tan leather case with some accessories
Provenance: The makers have kindly agreed to offer the following warranty on the gun:
"We are delighted to offer a full mechanical warranty, against defects in material and workmanship which affect reasonable operation within the first year of purchase, provided they are submitted to us for a full service, including mechanical repairs at our current rates. This warranty is renewable annually following a standard service once a year carried out by ourselves.
Please note, this warranty does not include any woodwork, freight or postage, and is null and void if damage or malfunction results from accident, negligence, misuse or unauthorised repair or alteration; failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance; rust or corrosion; any unauthorised repair or any alteration, including of a cosmetic nature, performed on the firearm by an individual, organisation, company or entity other than Watson Bros; unreasonable or excessive use of the firearm."
