circa 1893, 28in. black powder only barrels with matt sight rib, leaf sights for 50 and 100 yards and bead foresight, tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET LONDON "PARADOX" FOSBERY PATENT', 2 1/2in. chambers, Col. G.Vincent Fosbery V.C. patent rifled chokes, patent no. 7568 of 1885, some pitting right barrel, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks, border engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 15in. semi-pistolgrip stock (repaired horizontal crack through grip) including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release catch, weight 7lb. 2oz., in a Holland & Holland lightweight leather case containing a 'No.12' brass bullet mould (with plug), turnscrew, Holland & Holland nickel-plated oil bottle, powder measure, two piece cleaning rod and a brass reloading tool

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was competed for 'Lloyd Graeme' as a 12-bore paradox gun with 28in. steel barrels
