A SMALL COLLECTION OF FOUR LEFAUCHEUX AND OTHER PINFIRE REVOLVERS, CIRCA 1860 TO 1880, serial numbers. 4885, 14, 2071 and none visible,
the first of 7mm and finished in nickel-plate with 2 3/8in. barrel; the second marked 'THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL OF 1878', re-blued and in 7mm with ornate gutta-percha grips; the third signed 'LEFAUCHEUX' and 'LONDON', also in 7mm with scroll engraved open frame (much colour) and chequered walnut grip, all three with folding triggers, the last of larger size and in 11mm, with round 6 1/8in. barrel, brushed bright finish with sparse engraving and chequered bag-shaped butt, the four pistols fitted in a later wood case adapted for the purpose
