for 1903, 28in. replacement nitro chopperlump barrels (London proof 1977), the tubes engraved 'HENRY ATKIN. 61, PALL MALL, ST. JAMES'S, LONDON, ENGLAND.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplever gold-inlaid '3', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving with beaded bordering, 14 7/8in. figured stock (crack at head) including 1in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 9oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case

Provenance: The gun is supplied with a photocopy from the makers records confirming the gun was completed in 1903 for Capt. Hon. E.B. Dawson as a Best Quality 12-bore toplever bar action hammerless ejector made to match gun nos. 1544 / 5 'in every respect'. The gun was sent to 30 Cadogan Square, S.W. on September 17th
