A COMPOSED PAIR OF 12-BORE 'ROYAL' SINGLE-TRIGGER SIDELOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 22211 and 25413,
for 1900 and 1908, 30in. nitro barrels, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', the rib on gun No. 22211 gold-inlaid '1', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Holland & Holland semi-selective single triggers, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the undersides with 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR' in elaborate cartouches and 'PATENT SINGLE TRIGGER' in oval cartouches, retaining some renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. highly-figured replacement stocks (shortened by 1/2in., the cut-offs present in case), weight 6lb. 9oz. and 6lb. 12oz., in a brass-cornered leather case with Holland & Holland trade label

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that the No.1 gun was completed as a single-trigger with 30in. barrels in June 1900. The name in the ledger appears to read 'Rekewich'. The No.2 gun was also completed with 30in. barrels and as a single trigger, in November 1908 for 'Kemp'.
