A GOOD CASED PAIR OF .650 FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1814, with browned round 9in. barrels with flat sighting planes signed 'E. BOND 45 CORNHILL LONDON' over 'GUN MAKER TO THE HON'BLE E.I. COMP'Y', bead fore-sights, engraved band at breech, trophy engraved top-tangs, flat locks with stepped rounded tails and signed 'E. BOND' below the semi rain-proof pans, roller springs and swan-necked cocks, walnut full-stocks with chequered bag-shaped butts, domed and engraved iron pommels and captive stirrup rammers, both pistols retaining strong traces of original finish and together with a walnut brass cornered case re-lined and compartmented in pale green baize and complete with a renovated period three-way flask, japanned cap tin, mahogany loading rod, scissors ball-mould and later wad-punch
