30in. nitro reproved blacked damascus barrel engraved 'CHARLES BOSWELL. MAKER. 126. STRAND. LONDON. W.C.', the breech end with short sight flat with acanthus scroll detailing, 2 3/4in. chamber, bored approx. full choke, bore dimension marginal, carved fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicator, slight movement to extractor lifter, the action, lockplate and furniture with fine acanthus scroll engraving, a single floral bouquet and beaded bordering, the lockplate with a finely engraved game scene of two dogs on point, the triggerguard with a further hound, the left side of the action body with two pheasants, 14 1/4in. stock including 1in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with Anson push rod release and sculpted horn finial, weight 6lb. 7oz.
