28in. nitro reproved damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'JOHN REEVES & CO. 18 & 20 WEAMAN ROW. BIRMINGHAM.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 choke in both, action incorporating J. Reeves patent No. 2147 of May 1879, where each hammer is supported by a narrow plate, the undersides of which engraved ''REEVES PATENT', automatic safety, the action tang engraved with a floral bouquet and a vignette of feather in flight, border and partial acanthus scroll engraving surrounding scenes of hound flushing game, the triggerplate engraved with a further vignette, bifurcated triggerguard engraved with feather in flight, 13 1/2in. stock including steel buttplate, weight 5lb. 13oz., in a slightly distressed leather case
