27in. replacement nitro chopperlump barrels, the rib engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, arrow cocking-indicators, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the underside with a cartouche engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS PATENT', retaining some renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14in. highly-figured semi-pistolgrip stock with pistolgrip-cap, matching fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a lightweight brass-cornered leather case with some accessories and a 1929 'Purdey Guns' booklet

Tomasson deceased, October 1922
6th March 1923: Offered to C.B. Vaughan by Mr. Godman. Noted as having 'been done up'. Noted as "Purchased by G.E. Neilson", not date recorded
November 1923: Guns were at Audley House, noted as having lost 1 1/2oz. from the barrels
1927: 18669 & 1870 were repatterned for Vaughan's, but on behalf of Christie. The gun weight of 6lb. 8oz. suggests that the barrels had been shortened as part of this process.
14th May 1982: New barrels fitted, chambered 2 1/2in., choked Imp. Cyl. & 1/2
1986: Restocked
26th August 1987: Noted as being in new ownership
The trio as a group appear to have been split by 1927
