28in. replacement nitro barrels (by another in 1970), 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, H. Holland and J. Robertson patent barrel cocking action, patent no. 23 of 1883, patent gas checks, toplever engraved 'PATENT EJECTOR', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, border, bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed bright finish, pins reblued, 15 1/4in. figured replacement stock, replacement fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 7oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed for stock in 1892 as a No.2 Royal Ejector
