A 12-BORE 'NO. 3 GRADE' SINGLE-TRIGGER BACK-ACTION SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 26684,
30in. nitro barrels, the rib with small applied beaded plaque at the breech end, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, bore dimensions marginal, left wall at 18, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, border engraving, the underside with 'PATENT SINGLE TRIGGER', retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening and some renewed finish, 14in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock including buttplate, small plug to left underhorn, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release, weight 6lb. 9oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed as a No.3 Model hammerless ejector to pair with 26548 for 'Atkin' on 3rd June 1912
