Provenance: The Makers have kindly supplied us with the following: "The guns were completed in 2016 and are the only side-plated, trigger-plate over and under guns the company has produced. They are fully British made, being machined in the UK, they then are built by the same team of craftsmen that build their side by side game guns. Following us from the Asprey Gunroom, the Craftsmen are all ex-Holland & Holland and Purdey trained, ensuring only the finest and greatest attention to detail is applied to build our wonderful guns"
Ian Andrews, Head of Sales says "They are guns we are most proud of and represent the very best of British and London Gun making. They are perfect in their lines and a delight to shoot."

The guns appear lightly used. The undersides of the barrels are marked 'B.S.A. MILLBROOK N.Y.' for the importers British Sporting Arms Ltd.

Literature: "British Gunmakers of the 21st Century", by Donald Dallas:
"William & Son were set up by William Asprey in 1999, the seventh generation of the luxury goods firm Asprey, selling all manner of fine quality merchandise over the centuries. As an off-shoot from this, William Asprey decided to build best quality London guns using time served gunmakers with lengthy experience.
The company was originally established in Mount Street in Mayfair, but recently moved to larger premises close by in Bruton Street. The gun department is headed by Paul West, an ex-Holland & Holland gunmaker who oversees production. A total of eight gunmakers build the guns to customer's bespoke specifications"
