26 7/8in. nitro reproved octagonal barrel (Parkerifled to .22 Hornet from .250 Rook calibre circa 1963), matted top flat with open sights and two folding leaf sights marked 50, 100 and 150 and with white metal-inlaid sight lines, bead fore-sight, the breech end fitted with a later telescopic sight rail, the left side of the barrel engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON. FOR XXX CARTRIDGE.' (calibre designation defaced and modern type 'HORNET' added), scroll-back action with Westley Richards patent toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, non-selective ejector, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in scrolling banners to the sides, reblued finish, 14 1/2in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, Hackett type snap fore-end with horn finial, weight 5lb. 6oz., together with an associated Scope 4x32 telescopic sight with rail mount rings marked 'Japan'
