Provenance: The vendor has kindly supplied us with the following background information:

"I wanted a rifle that I could use for sporting target shooting and also for hunting deer and boar. Having a modular rifle system with a mixture of interchangeable calibres for use either on the range or in the field has been a revelation in terms of both flexibility and ergonomic design. The Blaser R8 system I decided to buy provided me with this flexibility, three calibres (.223, .308 and 9.3x62mm) and two stocks (for either hunting or target) . The GRS stock with the Blaser Atzl adjustable trigger system incorporated is ideal for running target or Boar shooting in the field and the straight pull cycles faster than any bolt action rifle where repeat shots are needed. Alternatively, traditionalists will love the figured wood on the standard hunting stock. The match barrels in each calibre are also exceptionally accurate.
Speed, safety, accuracy and versatility. I have greatly enjoyed owning and using them."
