24 3/4in. replacement nitro barrel engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 13 BRUTON STREET, LONDON.', the knox form engraved '.300 H&H MAGNUM RIMLESS', block-mounted open sights with folding leaf sight, marked 50/200 and 350, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with folding protector hood, the receiver (with thumb cutout) mounted with a K. Kahles Helia Super telescopic sight, serial no. 136760, in quickly-detachable side mounts, the rear ring engraved with a starburst and 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND NO. 1588', matt top receiver ring, recoil blocks, hinged straddle floorplate engraved '4 CTGES', the triggerguard with the serial number, figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, sling eyes, horn pistolgrip-cap and buttplate, 14 1/8in. pull, weight 7lb. 4oz. (unscoped) and 8lb. 5oz. (with scope)
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed for Jodhpur as a .30 Super Bore magazine rifle with a 24in. barrel, the date is unclear.
