A 10.6mm (COMMISSION) SIX-SHOT SERVICE REVOLVER, MODEL '1879', serial no. 8379,
date stamped for 1883, with 7in. sighted barrel, banded cannon muzzle, 'church window' fluted cylinder, solid frame signed on the left side, side safety catch, smooth walnut grips, butt-cap with regimental marks '17.D.1.14.' and lanyard ring, all matching numbers, refinished with some patchy pitting
