Belgian proved circa 1875, with 5 1/2in. octagonal barrel marked 'ACIER FONDU', crescent fore-sight, rounded breech with swing-out ejector, fluted slightly stepped cylinder, solid frame (not field strippable), double action mechanism with spurred hammer, finely chequered dark wood grips and lanyard ring at heel, some staining and small areas of light pitting over original finish
