A 12-BORE 1862 PATENT SIDELEVER SINGLE-BOLT SNAP-ACTION SELF HALF-COCKING BAR-IN-WOOD PINFIRE HAMMERGUN, serial no. 1450,
30in. damascus barrels, rib engraved 'J. & G.H. NEEDHAM'S. PATENT. 26. PICCADILLY. LONDON.' and '1', starburst engraving at the pinfire apertures, action incorporating Needham patent rotating single bolt sidelever patent, patent no. 1544 of 1862, use number 1013, the fences with external cams half-cocking the hammers as the sidelever is pushed down, semi-serpentine fences and side bolsters, sidelocks with dolphin hammers, permanently attached fore-end, best border and fine acanthus scroll engraving, 14 1/4in. figured stock including steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 10oz.
