28in. black powder only barrels, raised partially file-cut rib engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON.', open sights with folding leaf sight, marked 100 and 150 and with white metal sight lines, bead fore-sight, spring-return rotary-underlever, carved percussion fences and side-clips, non-rebounding back-action island locks with bolted dolphin hammers (right bolt thumb tab broken off), fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels, steel pistolgrip-cap and buttplate, the buttplate partially chequered and engraved at the heel 'CHARGE 6DRMS NO.6 POWDER', weight 10lb. 9oz.
