circa 1810, with 28 1/2in. twist barrels signed in rectangular poincons at the breech 'JOSEPH SIMMONS', platinum line and vents, engraved short top-tang, flat bevel-edged lock with stepped tail and signed below the rainproof pans 'SIMMONS', walnut half-stock with dished comb, iron furniture including raised scrolled pistol-grip to the lower tang, single barrel key and replacement brass tipped ramrod
