A SILVER-MOUNTED 13-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, no visible serial number,

circa 1775, with 37in. two-stage barrel of Spanish form, the top-flat signed in a silver banner 'HARRISON, LONDON', three gold inlaid pineapple devices at breech arranged around a central gold poincon of a seated cat, applied silver fore-sight on a silver four-pointed starburst ground, between each point a small silver quatrefoil, carved band at the barrel intersection, the octagonal section inlet with engraved silver triangles to each flat, repeated in reverse at breech, engraved iron top-tang with shallow sighting groove, plain bevel edged lock with stepped and pointed tail and signed beneath the gold lined pan (signature rubbed and illegible), dot and square chequered walnut hand-rail half-stock with silver wire inlet monogram behind top-tang, silver skeletal heel-plate, the top-spur terminating in a silver eagle, silver trigger guard bow, the finial in the form of a silver hunting dog in a woodland setting, silver fully carved and engraved sideplate featuring an eagle against a rococo ground flanked by martial trophies, detachable fore-end probably cut back from full and with an engraved silver band at tip and shaped barrel key escutcheons, full length silver under-rib with silver ramrod throat and two further pipes and working replacement ramrod
