AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE 60-BORE FLINTLOCK SEVEN-SHOT VOLLEY GOOSE-RIFLE, no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with hexagonal 20 1/4in. rifled damascus barrel cluster comprising of six barrels around a seventh central barrel, all discharging simultaneously, the concave top-rib signed 'H. NOCK LONDON' (refreshed), small white-metal fore-sight and a standing notch rear-sight applied to the scroll engraved top-tang, triple ported platinum lined vent, re-coloured bevel-edged lock signed on the tail 'H. NOCK', sliding safe forwards of the hammer, re-coloured pan, roller frizzen and hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (damage at head), applied padded leather cheek-piece, re-blued iron furniture including heel-plate, the top-spur engraved with a hunting dog, scroll engraved roll-edged trigger-guard bow and equipped with a replacement horn-mounted under-barrel ramrod
