A 10-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS, no visible serial number,
circa 1770, with heavy 16in. barrel banded behind and around the muzzle, top of breech signed 'LONDON', moulded band forwards of the iron top-tang, borderline engraved military style lock signed 'BRANDER' below the pan, walnut three-quarter stock with smooth handrail grip (hairline crack forwards of lock), carved apron around the top-tang, vacant brass oval escutcheon to wrist, brass heel-plate, the top spur engraved with borderlines around a trophy of arms, engraved trigger guard bow, borderline engraved lower tang, acorn finial and replacement wood ramrod
