circa 1860, with octagonal 21 1/2in. barrel, applied brass fore-sight, standing rear-sight block integral with the barrel, side mounted pan with brass cover, long back-action brass lockplate with external serpentine and mainspring, shaped fruitwood full-stock with brass-lined apertures for holding the match and brass escutcheoned pins, guarded ball trigger, cleaned of finish
