A 1796 PATTERN BRITISH OFFICER'S LIGHT CAVALRY SABRE WITH BLUE AND GILT BLADE AND IVORY GRIP,
circa 1805, with curved single edged broad fullered 30in. blade, the first two fifths with a blued ground (faded and purpled) and engraved with gilded scrolls and trophies around the coat of arms and monogram of King George III, the back edge signed 'J.J. RUNKEL, SOLINGEN', gilded brass stirrup guard with rolled quillion and doves-head pommel, ribbed moulded ivory grip, no scabbard
