LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, (bore dimensions marginal), Purdey patent thumbhole underlever (spring broken), patent no. 1104 of 2nd may 1863 (first pattern), slim serpentine fences, non-rebounding back-action locks with finely carved dolphin hammers, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the underside engraved 'PURDEY'S PATENT', brushed finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock including steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 8oz., in a box
