28in. nitro chopperlump barrels with raised tapered matt top-rib and side ribs, 2 3/4in. chambers, Teague multichokes (with spares), bolstered action with hold-open toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the triggerplate initialled 'MS', retaining virtually full original colour-hardening, 15in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with engraved and colour-hardened pistolgrip-cap and including 1/2in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 7lb. 11oz., in its fitted aluminium flight case with canvas and leather outer

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun appears in the records with a date of 12th March 2007 and is listed as a 12-bore single trigger Over and Under hammerless ejector (square bar) with 28in. barrels, Teague chokes. The rose and scroll engraving was performed by M. Smith.
The Purdey booklet supplied with the gun states the date of completion as the 1st May 2007
