for 1915/16, with 5in. barrel, blued slide with the makers address and patents to 1913 on the left and 'COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .455' on the right, blued frame with 'GOVERNMENT MODEL', grip safe and smooth mainspring housing to back-strap, chequered walnut grips with smooth diamond-shaped panels around the screws, lanyard loop at heel and to the base of the unmarked magazine, much original finish with some speckled surface corrosion
