dated for 1886, with 32in. sighted barrel, slab-sided receiver with makers stamp and date on the left hand side and the Portuguese crest on the right, under-lever opening, walnut butt-stock and full-length fore-end, provision for clearing rod (missing), the whole retaining much original finish beneath hardened grease and fitted with a later leather sling
