AN 18-BORE FLINTLOCK HORSE-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
probably Dutch circa 1725, with swamped iron 14 1/4in. barrel carved with a central sighting rib and floral decoration at breech (cleaned, heavily rubbed), makers mark stamped three times (possibly 'DT'), curved broad bevel-edged lock with radiused pointed tail carved with floral decoration repeated on the front of the frizzen, scroll engraving below the lozenge-shaped pan and to the hammer, frizzen with un-bridled foot and carved spring, carved walnut full-stock with floral apron and fore-end sides, carved iron furniture including long-spurred butt-cap, complex pierced side-plate and carved trigger-guard bow and finial, turned lozenge-bodied ramrod throat and thimble, probable later turned iron ramrod
