Spanish and of Ripoll ball-butt form possibly late 17th century, with typical two-staged 7in. 'Spanish form' barrel banded at the muzzle and intersection, deeply struck maker's mark and quality stamps at breech, solid plain top-tang fixed from beneath, engraved and signed miquelet lock with ring-top hammer and lozenge jaws, pan and frizzen, brass sear, walnut three-quarter stock with typical ball-shaped butt, the whole covered with silver pierced floral mounts (small losses), long iron belt hook to left hand side, spurred iron trigger-guard bow and silver floral chased and engraved fore-end cap with turned iron ramrod
