circa 1795, with browned tapering round 38in. barrel, octagonal breech section, the start of the barrel engraved with a steeple and starburst, triple gold lines and inlet gold poincon signed 'HAUGH, DUMFRIES' at breech, border and scroll engraved top-tang with carved sighting groove, gold lined vent, plain bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed forwards of the hammer with a further gold poincon, semi rainproof pan and roller frizzen, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, engraved iron furniture, two barrel-keys, moulded iron nose-cap and horn-tipped wooden ramrod
