A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK FROG-MOUTHED IRON-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS WITH BRASS MOUNTS, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
Continental, possibly Portuguese or Spanish circa 1750, with 19in. two-stage barrel, applied brass panels engraved with borders and tulips on the top three flats, brass band at the muzzle together with scroll engraving, the fore-sight formed in white-metal as a male bust, solid top-tang, heavily corroded lock with traces of raised carved detail, walnut full-stock with Spanish style fluted butt and scroll carving, carved and shaped brass furniture, replacement ramrod (iron surfaces pitted and corroded, brass areas worn with small losses and loss to detail)
