A SCARCE HAND-PAINTED INDIAN JAVELIN,
circa 1800, with loose iron tapering square-section tip on a conical turned mount probably from another (cleaned, shallow pitting throughout), the wood shaft approximately 65in. long and fully decorated in multi chromatic depictions of flowers, figures, mythical beasts and arabesque panels (small losses by chipping, one area of larger paint loss near head)
