30in. nitro barrels with broad raised matt rib, tubes engraved 'ALEX MARTIN LTD. 20. EXCHANGE SQUARE. GLASGOW', 3in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 choke in both, large action, automatic safety, border and acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14in. tiger stripe stock, weight 7lb. 15oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in July 1952 for a Mr. Weddell of Bearsden, Glasgow.
