28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, rib gold-inlaid '1', tubes engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT & SONS. 7 BURY STREET. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON.' (faint), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, slender W. Baker patent assisted-opening action, patent no. 16778 of 22nd March 1913, with Baker patent ejectors, slender fences, removable striker discs, diminutive toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, finely engraved with acanthus scrollwork and floral bouquets, brushed bright finish, 14 5/8in. well-figured stock including 1in. wooden extension, weight 5lb. 12oz., in a case

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed as a 'best quality self-opening' in September 1937 for W. Pidcock. The barrel length is not recorded.
