A. ALLAN 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 32618, 28in. nitro barrels with sunken rib, the tubes engraved 'A. ALLAN. 144 TRONGATE. GLASGOW.' (very faint), and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and partial acanthus scroll engraving surrounding the makers name in a scrolling banner, brushed bright and blued finish, 15 1/8in. figured stock including 1 2/8in. wooden extension, fore-end incorporating F. & FG Rogers Patent 12606 of 12th June 1908 ejectors, weight 6lb. 7oz.
