for County Antrim, the pistol circa 1740, with round swamped 8in. barrel, borderline needle and tear-drop engraved to the breech, private proofs, iron top-tang, bevel-edged lockplate with stepped and pointed tail, engraved detail around pan and tail, bridleless frizzen, walnut full-stock with curved bulbous grip mounted with a short-tailed brass butt-cap, pierced ribbon sideplate (repaired), brass furniture and unusual, possibly period brass ramrod
