A 20-BORE WHEEL-LOCK HOLSTER-PISTOL SIGNED 'I. LAZARINO', no visible serial number,
possibly late 16th to early 17th century, with iron 13 1/2in. barrel signed in silver on the carved top-rib 'I. LAZARINO', the signature repeated on the left hand side of the carved breech, the top of breech profusely inlaid with silver scrolls, unidentified armourer's stamp forwards of top-tang, plain lozenged shaped lock with external wheel and lozenge-shaped hammer with turned pillar neck, differing unidentified armourer's stamp to the lockplate, darkly stained hardwood full-stock of Italian form with elongated octagonal flared pommel, iron furniture and probable replacement iron tipped wood ramrod (old repairs and minor damage to woodwork)
